RssReader Questions & Answers:
Q - How do I get the RssReader and install it?
A - Click on this icon and follow the directions. If you have any problems with installation, full install instructions can be found on the RssReader website.
Q - Will the RssReader install anything else besides the reader itself?
A - No. RssReader is 100% spy- and adware free!
Q - How do I add a RSS feed to the reader after I have RssReader installed?
A - Place the mouse arrow on the orange XML icons above and click the right mouse button, then choose "Copy Shortcut". (You can also copy the link above in the box above directly underneath where it says URL.)
Start RssReader and go to add(+) channel/feed and then paste (click right mouse button) the url and press ok.
You can use the RssReader for more than just our coupon news. You can add as many feeds to this free RSS reader as you want and use it as a free news aggregator. Anywhere you see the RSS feed icon, just follow the same directions as above to add all you want.
Q - Is the RssReader intrusive?
A - When you install RssReader, the installation process will put a small icon in your system tray. You can click on it at any time to see what offers there are. Once every hour, the RssReader will update itself with any new offers that we've posted and a slide will come up from the bottom of your browser to let you know that there are new offers to see. You can either choose to close it immediately by clicking on the "X" in the corner of the box, click on the link it provides to open your reader or it will close automatically within a minute.
Q - I have ZoneAlarm. Will this affect RssReader from working?
A - If you have Zone Alarm or any other software installed that blocks access, you'll need to allow the RssReader to access the Internet. The reader will need to access our server to see if anything has been added to the file. It won't access any website other than what you have told it to access. If you don't allow it to access, then your reader will never update.
Q - What do I click on to take advantage of a coupon or sale? Will I be sent to your site or to the merchant's site?
A - When you click on "Read more", the merchant's page will open within the RssReader. If there is a coupon that you want to use, be sure to write the coupon code down before you click thru.
When you click on "Open in browser", the merchant site will open a new browser window. The RssReader will still be open for you to refer back to get any coupon codes you need.
We have set this up so that clicking on links thru the RssReader will not take you to our site and at the same time force a click-thru to the merchant. You are only sent to the merchant's site for the particular offer you chose.
myYahoo Questions & Answers:
